About Me
Hi, my name is Jenna Norrish, I have lived in Cotgrave nearly all my life and now live here with my own family; my 2 daughters, husband and family dog, Bonnie.
Throughout the years, I have continued to focus on developing my practice and finding better ways I can support children’s learning and development. My most recent accomplishment was training to be an Early Years Educator.At the weekend we enjoy exploring the outdoors with family and friends. I love to embrace the great outdoors and make full use of our outdoor garden space, as well as local woodland area and the country park. We love to get fresh air in our lungs and mud on our boots.
Where we live is situated close to the local bus stop, I like to make full use of the local links and go on outings to the local parks both in Cotgrave and West Bridgford, soft plays that are situated on the bus route as well as other outings that may require a bus. We love to visit the library regularly as well as play groups and the school farm, all of which I think are important for children to experience.
My Experience
I have 13 years’ experience working with young children, I first
started working with children when I was 18 years old, where I gained my
first Early Years qualification (NVQ Level 2 in Children’s learning, care and
development). Over the years I have worked in several different
Early Years setting; private nurseries, an F2 classroom, a F1 unit attached to
a school, as well as previously having my own Childminding business.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma for the Children’s workforce (Early Years Educator)
Level 2 in Children’s care, learning and development.

Paediatric First Aid
Makaton
Currently undertaking Level 2 in Understanding Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health
Also currently working my way through Hygge in the Early Years accreditation

Jenna welcomed both of our girls with open arms in the middle of a pandemic. Our youngest is with her for 3 full days and our eldest 3 mornings and afternoons a week before and after school. Jenna always plans out her days meticulously, they are packed full of fun and learning. Her home is a second home for both our children and they feel super comfortable and confident in her presence. Jenna is always super flexible if any hours are needing to be changed. She packs her playroom with so many toys and learning provisions that we then have to purchase them for our own home they are that good..We moved our Children from a private nursery after 2 years and we wished we had done it sooner. The real life experiences are second to none. Thanks for all

Jenna is a wonderful childminder offering a warm and safe environment for children to thrive. Not only does she treat them with love and care she also offers a fantastic environment for their developmental needs with a wealth of equipment and resources. Jenna amazes us with her constant desire to better her practice and broaden her knowledge of up to date early years practice - she is always using her evenings to do a new relevant course to update her provision! She is generous in purchasing new resources for the children and takes them on lovely trips out. My son settled very quickly with Jenna and continues to enjoy his time there.
