My Summary

My Experience

I am a qualified primary teacher, with a patient and nurturing approach, teaching face to face or online to all ages (3 years+). I specialise in teaching youngsters who are reluctant, or anxious learners, but all pupils are welcome. I am experienced in teaching young people who have additional needs, for example: autism, trauma, ADHD, long Covid, or dyslexia. With a background in storytelling and drama, I use props, games and playful approaches. I plan lessons to supplement school work and/or follow children's interests. Learning can happen through projects, for example, making a video, a science experiment, writing lyrics. Building the relationship is key to a student’s engagement and so all sessions are personalised. I offer core subjects: English, maths, science as well as art, special interest projects. I offer catch-up in specific areas such as spelling or grammar. Fees are £32.50 per hour and tuition can be term time, holidays or for a set duration.
