About Me
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder offering a high standard of childcare in Hornchurch. I have been childminding for 17 years, previous to that I worked in an investment bank and have also owned and run a messy playgroup for 2 years. I have 2 daughters, aged 22 and 19. I have cared for and continue to do so for children from newborn to 11 years of age. I offer a loving and caring home from home atmosphere, which makes everyone feel safe and welcome. I enjoy taking the children out regularly. We attend local playgroups, baby bounce sessions, phonics classes, parks and play centres on a weekly basis. We have lots of days out in the school holidays, making each day fun and stimulating.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 17 years and a mum to 2 daughters, plus early years experience through my messy playgroup along with my many years of training through childminding and being a mum.
My Qualifications
I am early years trained and hold the following qualifications - Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Radicalisation, Child Protection, FGM & First Aid Mental Health. I am also Ofsted registered and CRB checked

Dawn looked after our daughter for over 4 years - before and after school and school holidays. She provided excellent care and my daughter always looked forward to spending time with her.
She had fun and was kept busy and entertained with lots of activities, crafts and games. She was made to feel part of the family. Dawn was always so helpful and accommodating and I was 100% confident that my daughter was receiving the best care and attention. I couldn’t have wished for a better childminder to look after my daughter and I would highly recommend her services to all.

Dawn has cared for my 8 year old for just over 3 years after school and during the school holidays. Dawn has always been flexible when she has capacity to, which has been great over the school holidays and at times, during the week. There has always been excellent communication and reinforcing boundaries when needed. Thank you!

Just wanted to say that this lady right here is an Outstanding childminder to my 3 kids,I trust her with my kids 100% from the way she treats them and takes care of them as if they were her own she is very attentive kind loving person that likes to spend time having fun with the kids as well as doing activities like arts and crafts she has a spotless clean and tidy fun loving family home, she provides various healthy meals for my kids to eat on a daily basis and she has outstanding communication skills so I definitely recommend this lady and trust assure that if I had anymore kids they would be definitely looked after by this amazing lady

Dawn is absolutely amazing, she looked after my 2.5 year old and my 9 month year old. They warmed to Dawn straight away and they were both very happy there. There were hardly any tears and if there were Dawn knew exactly what to do. I loved that we had a detailed daily diary of how the children were, what they got up to and what they ate etc. The children were well entertained and Dawn also took them out to places like the park and a phonics class.
I would highly recommend Dawn to any parent as she is a friendly, warm person and my children absolutely adored her.

Having been a childminder myself for over 14 years I was looking for the perfect match for my children when I returned to a job where I would need before and after school help and also the odd days in the holidays !
Well Dawn has done all this and more, she has cared for my boys like I would and given them such a great experience with learning,
From Pick up and drop off of my youngest to helping the transition of one of my elder ones with secondary who has Autism.
I have used Dawn for over 4 years now and sometimes even when I least expect it she still surprises my boys with fun days out and she’s always equipped for any eventuality.
I seriously don’t think I could do the job I do if I didn’t have her in our life’s
100% recommend Dawn as you get that real professional relationship alongside your children getting the caring and nurturing side Of a home from home environment.

Dawn is very reliable and accommodating. Having my son mostly dropping him and collecting from nursery nothing is too much trouble and the children were always busy as he always came home with a piece of craft work he had done that day full of exciting stories, Dawn has even helped out on occasion on inset days having my daughter too. Always there in an emergency and it’s only that we have moved out of the area that unfortunately we are unable to continue this great service she provides. Thanks for everything, she won’t let you down! Xx
