Graded "good" in all areas by Ofsted in April 2023, William Elliott Nursery School (WENS) offers high-quality childcare for children aged 0 to 5 years old in a secure and stimulating environment.
Play Learn Grow - our team of experienced and dedicated staff works closely with your child supporting them to develop the independence, self-esteem, and social skills they need in readiness for school by delivering a unique curriculum through planned play-based activities suitable to each child’s development stage.
WENS covers the “Early Year Foundation Stage” and “STEM” (a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) programs throughout the nursery day.
Conveniently located within Islington's Crouch Hill / Hornsey Rise area we enjoy exploring the natural world on our woodland walks (Parkland Walk between Highgate and Finsbury Park) for forest school activities and playground visits at neighboring parks.
Childcare Vouchers are welcome and free settling-in sessions are offered prior to the start date; a sibling discount is available. We also offer government-funded childcare places (FEEE - free early education entitlement) to eligible parents.

Our Fees
- Childcare from £45.00 per morning
- Childcare from £75.00 per day
- Childcare from £45.00 per afternoon
At William Elliott Nursery School (WENS) we offer full-day sessions from 8:00-18:00 and half-day sessions from either 8:00-13:00 or 13:00-18:00 all year round (not just term time).
Individual NURSERY TOURS can be booked every Tuesday and Wednesday between 09:00-11:30 and 14:30-18:00 and on Thursdays between 09:00-11:30 by prearranged appointments only.
At the end of your NURSERY TOUR, we will provide you with a copy of our "NURSERY FEE SHEET" with details about our applicable RATES, REGISTRATION & Enrolment FEE, DEPOSIT, and MINIMUM BOOKING requirements and T&C.
Likewise, if you are looking for and/or are entitled to a governmental-funded childcare place (FEEE - free early education entitlement - see: "childcarechoices" for further information) we can discuss this during your nursery tour since these places are subject to availability.
In the meantime, we invite you to visit our website and submit our online "Pre-REGISTRATION" form ("Waiting List Form") to start your child's enrolment process with WENS. The "Pre-REGISTRATION" of your child with WENS is absolutely FREE of charge and does not commit you to take up a nursery space with WENS.
