My Summary

My Experience

I have worked for 4 years as a Babysitter for many families - from new born babies to 12 year old children - as well as a full time Nanny. Nanny for a family with two young children, ages 4 months and 5 years when role began. Carried out phonics lessons and used precision teaching methods to improve children’s reading and spelling skills. Provided emotional and behavioural support, altering methods depending on the needs of the child. Created age-appropriate, educational activities for the children to enjoy. I worked as a Classroom Teaching Assistant in Year 6 for 1 year where I helped out with SATs preparation, worked 1:1 with a child with ASD and worked in small intervention groups with children with other needs such as EAL and ADHD. I learned the importance of movement and maintaining variation in activities to help children learn to the best of their ability.
I have a BSc in Biochemistry, achieving a 2.1 as well as A levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry (AAA). I have always had a keen interest in academics and teaching so am happy to help with homework/extra tutoring up to GCSE.
I have previously coached primary school children in netball and hockey where I provided support and guidance in helping children to learn and develop new skills.
I also co-lead my local Cub Scout group where I built relationships with many children and aimed to provide a safe and comforting environment for children whilst spending time away from their parents.

My Qualifications

I have a DBS check and basic first aid training. I have undertaken SEN training, precision teaching and safeguarding training as part of my role as a teaching assistant. I have a 2.1 in BSc Biochemistry, A level Maths, Biology and Chemistry (AAA) and 10 GCSEs grade A*- B

My Availability

I am available to work full time Monday to Friday. I can work on the weekends with notice however once a month I travel to Birmingham from Friday evening till Sunday night.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

£12 per hour for baby sitting and £15 per hour for nannying. I charge £16 per hour for babysitting on the weekends and £10 per hour if you would like me to provide tutoring.
