About Me
Hi,
I'm Melanie and have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 10 years, looking after babies, toddlers and primary age school children. I specialise in before and after school childcare. My working hours are:-
6.30am - 9am & 2.30pm - 6pm.
Parents are welcome to drop off and collect from my home setting. I then take and collect children to and from local primary schools, nurseries and pre-schools, Monday - Friday during term time.
My local schools are - Goldsworth Primary, Kingfield Primary, Barnsbury Primary and a number of nurseries and pre-schools.
I offer a home-from-home nurturing environment where the children play safely & happily together in a relaxed family environment.
I am proud to say that I have families who have stayed with me for many years, often from babies, pre-school and right through to starting Secondary school. I love looking after them and they make long lasting friendships with one another too.
I have two lovely boys of my own, who are 14 & 17 and are very used to living with other children. We live in Mayford village, along a quiet country lane and have a large garden, stocked with play things, so there's plenty of healthy outdoor activities as well as indoor space dedicated to the children. They can play freely and enjoy quiet time reading and crafting, drawing, playing games. We also spend time in the fresh air every day after school at one of the many local parks before heading home.
I am Fully Covid Vaccinated.
My Experience
I have several years of child minding experience - including looking after children with Autism, ADHD, ASD, language delay, special additional educational and emotional needs.
My Qualifications
All qualifications and courses are kept up to date , including - Ofsted registration, Paedeatric First Aid, Safeguarding & enhanced DBS .
My Availability
From 6.45am - 6pm (extended hours negotiable)

Mel provides such a lovely, enriching, home-from-home environment for the children.
They get lots of active time with playground trips after school, football in the garden and lots of bouncing on the trampoline.
Mel’s really great at keeping the parents updated & helped us with additional sessions when she had space. When my daughter first started, she also sent updates that she was settling in well, which was really reassuring and helpful during the transition.
