About Me
As someone who comes from a large family I have plenty of experience looking after children of all ages. In addition to this, I worked as a mentor during sixth form so have experience engaging with secondary school aged children, including those with learning disabilities such as dyslexia. I am responsible and friendly and enjoy trying craft projects and spending time looking after plants. I enjoy looking after children and also have an enhanced DBS check from March 2023.
I am a university graduate who studied politics and international relations at Sussex and hope to begin a masters in International Relations from September 2025. I am currently completing a Business Analysis course and looking to gain for ad hoc babysitting and tutoring to work around that schedule.
I am available in Brighton/Hove and can commute locally to meet you and you children. I enjoy encouraging the children I work with to play with arts and crafts, explore nature and develop their language skills. I am also comfortable caring for children who are neurodivergent. This is something I am passionate about as I struggled with undiagnosed ADHD throughout my childhood and so I have direct experience regarding the importance of empathetic and adaptable childcare approaches.
I have a strong grasp on conversational french and spanish and have found this useful in encouraging the learning of foreign languages. I have found that many children enjoy when you engage them mentally as well as physically so I like to encourage exploring outdoors and understanding nature in an informative and fun way.
I do not currently drive but I am happy to take public transport should your children need to be taken to school/clubs etc...
My Experience
I have plenty of informal babysitting experience as I have two younger siblings myself who i helped change diapers, prepare bottles of milk, sterilise bottles and then entertain and spend time with as they grew older. I have also frequently looked after younger cousins and the children of family friends.
I have worked as an ad hoc babysitter and a nanny since 2019 and worked as a nanny for the autumn and winter term of 2020.
I have worked as a nanny for 4-5 years olds and babies as young as 6 months. I am
also comfortable with tutoring and animal
care also with experience in both.
I volunteered with CoachBright as a teacher of GCSE English Literature and Language as well as A-Level sociology and have been tutoring GCSE English for a year.

My Qualifications
I am trained in safeguarding for adults and children and should your children have medication requirements, i have an NHS certificate in handling medications. I have an understanding of CPR and handling allergic reactions.
My Availability
I am flexible in my availability and I welcome any last minute babysitting needs! Currently looking for ad hoc/ part time hours.
I am also available for some tutoring.
