My Summary
About Me
I have spent 10 years working as a qualified midwife and have extensive knowledge and lots of experience in supporting new parents. I am able to help establish feeding by breast, bottle or a combination of both. I have experience with both structured and flexible approaches to routines and am passionate about finding the perfect balance for each individual family. With in-depth training in maternal and new-born health, I can offer unique support and reassurance in the early days following birth, including with premature babies or babies with additional needs. A natural teacher, I am able to support new parents as they develop their own skills and confidence and am ready to offer suggestions if issues arise.
My Experience
As a qualified midwife, I have supported many hundreds of parents as they learn to care for their newborn baby. This includes helping them to establish breastfeeding and giving guidance about positioning the baby at the breast and getting a good latch and attachment. I have provided support and information on milk supply including increasing supply, managing over supply and preventing and treating issues such as nipple pain, engorgement and mastitis. I am also experienced in supporting women who are formula or combination feeding. I have experience looking after babies who have additional needs or require extra support. I understand the various approaches to routines and can support a woman and her family to find the perfect approach for them.
My Qualifications
Registered Midwife, BSc (Hons) Midwifery Studies.
Extensive ongoing updating on breastfeeding and postnatal care of women and babies.
Paediatric First Aid 2 day course certificate completed August 2020

Experienced, well-qualified and relaxed lady. All my kids (I'm a mother of 3) love her!
We are glad to have her as our maternity nurse to help caring our new born son. Helped with a range of tasks including feeding, bathing, general caring and night caring of the baby. Also helped and gave very useful advice to the mum.
Extremely reliable service, great communication and excellent experience, highly recommended!
