About Me
My name is Gemma Barnett, and I’ve been married to my husband, Lewis, for five years. Together, we have two wonderful children, aged 5 and 12. Lewis has worked as a highway engineer for the local council for 25 years. I’ve been a childminder for the past two years and am truly passionate about my work. Before this, I was a craft supplier, and creativity and crafts remain a big part of our family’s life. We’ve lived in our current home for five years, and it features a large garden full of children’s bikes and gymnastics bars. My goal is to provide each child with a warm, welcoming home environment where they can learn and grow through fun and play.
My Experience
Over the past two years, I’ve been training to become a childminder. After caring for my first sibling duo, my passion for childminding has grown even stronger. It has been incredibly rewarding to see the joy and learning in the children I care for, and I truly enjoy helping them grow and thrive.
My Qualifications
After leaving school with a passion for working with children, I pursued a childcare course at college.
My Availability
I currently have spaces available for two children aged 5+ for breakfast and afterschool club, as well as during the school holidays. I collect from Marton Primary School. After pick-up, we enjoy a healthy tea, and then the children can choose from a variety of activities. Breakfast and evening meals are provided. I also run a holiday club, with meals included. Craft activities are always available, as we have a strong passion for creativity. Additionally, we love exploring the local park for walks and trips to the beach.
