My name is Whitney, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in the Sydenham Hill area (SE26).
With over 10 years of experience in early years settings, I have been passionate about working with children from a very young age. This passion has driven me to achieve my Level 2 and Level 3 childcare qualifications, as well as a degree in Early Childhood Studies.
I am dedicated to providing a nurturing and enabling environment where every child in my care can thrive. My setting is designed to promote development and well-being through engaging, child-led activities. Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, my team and I work collaboratively to create a stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and explore through a variety of play experiences.

Whitney and her Mum provide a caring, fun and thoughtful setting close to lots of local amenities for the children to enjoy. They communicate frequently and value family flexibility and support.
Our daughter joined at 10 months and has loved her time there. She enjoys trips to forest school, playgroup, picnics and the occasional lunch at Nando’s :)… although the delicious home cooked meals are not to be missed. When not on trips there are plenty of stimulating activities to be enjoyed in the lovely setting itself.
Although our original plan was to send our daughter to nursery we are delighted to have found Haven House. It turned out to be the better choice for us and our circumstances.
We cannot recommend Haven House enough.

My little one has been with Whitney for over three years now, from just seven months old!
He absolutely adores Whitney and I trust her completely. Whitney and her team are always on the go doing activities like gardening, toddler play groups and even occasional days out. The children are also learning life skills and school readiness skills.
She has been a brilliant support through milestones from walking to potty training to starting school. I really don't know what we would do without her.

My son was with Whitney for a couple of months before starting school nursery and he was very happy there. He learnt a lot and made new friends. The atmosphere is very loving and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend her!

I am eternally grateful for Haven House Childminding and Whitney for creating a safe environment for my daughter to grow and flourish. Whitney has cared for my daughter the past 4 years, and has built a strong relationship with her.

Whitney looked after my twin girls when they were 5 months old (We unfortunately were only able to stay with her for a couple of months before we moved out of the area.) She is a cheerful, kind person who looked after the girls with patience and calm. They always came home from her so relaxed and happy, I know they were given great care by her.
