About Me
Hi, I’m Monika and I live in SPONDON, Derby with my family. I run @MonisSpondon. Im Ofsted registered offering Full EYFS childcare through the day, drop off and collection at Borrowood . I have a large space dedicated to looking after children alongside a well maintained and child friendly garden.
I offer a wealth of learning, play and experiences to all in my care.
I have full paediatric first aid, liability insurance and all relevant policies and procedures to ensure your child is safe whilst in my care!
My Experience
I have 4 children of my own, now aged 9,10,11 and 17 so plenty of experience with every situation. I have several years of experience volunteering at my local school, supporting other childminders and running my own childcare setting.
My Qualifications
Fully Ofsted registered with the most current and up to date requirements for training.
I also have a qualified assistant on days where I need additional support.
Full paediatric first aid certificate
Safeguarding, toilet training, food safety, allergens etc are just a few of the additional
Higher level trainings I have completed
My Availability

My Fees

My son has been with Monika since September 2022- 3 days per week and honestly I couldn't recommend her enough she is one special lady! Monika goes above and beyond to support, love and help the children grow and learn new things. We have been supported with various milestones including potty training. Each week the children go on different adventures which include park trips, soft play, to the farm and lots more. We are so grateful for the love and support we have received from Monika (and her family) throughout the years and we will miss her so much when my son will start Pre School in September.
We also use the after school pick up that Monika offers for my daughter who is 7, again she is more than catered for. Lots of great activities during the term time and school holidays.
Monika is a special lady who we appreciate so much x

Both of my girl’s love Monika. She is loving kind and great fun. My girl’s are always telling me the different adventures they have been on or art work they have created. It’s a home from home and both of my girls are happy to be there.

My daughter has been with Monika since Nov 2020 when I returned to work post Covid after an extended maternity leave. I couldn’t have asked for more from a childminder from Monika. She is warm, friendly, fun and loving. Her setting is perfect with dedicated space for indoor play (a lovely big and bright extension on the back of the house with direct access to a fantastic secure garden). Monika and her fiancée Kyle make a fantastic & professional team and all the children there adore them. My daughter often doesn’t want to come home because she has so much fun at Monis. She is happy, stimulated, engaged and LOVED at Moni’s which is all I could ask for as a parent returning to work. My eldest daughter also attends the setting during the holidays and equally loves it. They do a brilliant range of age appropriate activities and trips. I honestly can’t recommend the setting enough. Thank you for everything you do Monika

My son has been having after-school care at Monika's for several months and has a marvellous time there. Monika and her husband Kyle share the after-school care and together they create a wonderfully positive, fun and relaxed environment. There are usually a number of young children being cared for and it amazes me how happy and well behaved they all are. On fine days the children can play outdoors and there are different toys and activities out each day. Monika and Kyle have worked out what my son enjoys best so that he always has great fun and loves going. They have been really flexible and helpful when my working days change and are a delight to interact with. I really can't recommend them highly enough!

I had an induction for a new job which last around 6 hrs or so. Monika was the best childminder we could possibly have for our 1 yr old & 3 yr old.. Whilst i was at work, she sent me pictures of my children playing, eating and they both were soo happy and settled. Monika took both of my children to Elvaston Castle, they had a picnic and collected objects which the kids called treasure. It was a mission getting them out when i came to collect them.
Overall, i am soo glad i found monika and i feel that she understands my needs. She is brilliant & i will be using her childminding services all the time!!
