About Me
My name is Filareti, I am married and have a kind 6 year-old boy, named George who goes to primary one and loves spending time with children.
We live and work in Bishopbriggs, spend our mornings in parks, exploring nature or using our community resources such as playgroups, local libraries, museums etc. I have great experience with babies and I love interacting with children, making games and fun activities.
Everything we learn is through play. I use observations to identify the preferences and schemas the wee ones are into and each week we have different themed activities tailored to every child’s need and developmental stage.
Our house is a nurturing, calm and respectful environment where everyone can participate in everyday practical life activities, have fun and learn.
I collaborate closely with parents and carers and together we create the best environment for the children to feel safe and flourish.
I have one bachelor degree in pedagogy and psychology, also trained from Maria Montessori's Institute in London and currently undertaking my second bachelor degree in Early Learning and childcare with the University of Islands and Highlands.
I am registered with the Scottish Childminding Association and with Care Inspectorate
I have a 5 grade report from Care Inspectorate which is available to be read online.

My husband and I are so happy to have found Filareti. She has looked after our child since he turned 1 last summer and it’s amazing to see how much he learns and grows there. He is very happy in her home, with her son and of course the little friends he has made there.
Filareti is such a caring and personable childminder who really sees to every child’s individual needs and competences. She always takes them to fun playgroups and outings, or organises creative activities at home.
We feel really calm and confident whenever our child is with Filareti, and we could not recommend here services more!
Our 2 year old boy is with Filareti for about a year now. We are are really excited with the work she is doing with him. He developed from baby to toddler in the best possible environment. Filareti really knows what she is doing and has studied her craft extensively. Our child loves being with Filareti and his friends there and the signs of the optimal mental and physical development he is getting, are evident! Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed!
We have had the incredible good fortune of having Filareti as our childminder. She is warm, nurturing, and truly cares about the children she looks after. Our daughter absolutely loves spending time with her. She looks forward going to her home and always comes back happy and full of stories about the really enjoyable and educational activities they've done together.
Filareti goes above and beyond to create a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. She follows the home learning curriculum to organise creative, educational activities that keep children of different ages engaged and excited to learn. Whether it's arts and crafts, outdoor play, vocabulary learning, story telling, cooking... there's always something special carefully planned.
Communication with Filareti is fantastic. She offers a very comprehensive debrief after minding our daughter and with our permission shares photos and videos of the activities they have done together during the day. We always know what our daughter has been up to, from nap length, to toilet trips, food eaten and activities completed. Filareti excels at being equally professional and loving. My daughter considers her a reference person, she offers attachment, education, sympathy and extraordinary care in a wonderful environment (both indoors and outdoors). We leave for work reassured that our daughter is in the best hands.
Something that really sets Filareti apart in addition to her genuine passion for childcare is her strong academic and professional background in child studies – philosophy, pedagogy and psychology. She treats her children like they're part of her own family and provides individualised attention to their needs. We consider her family too!
I cannot recommend Filareti enough: professional, kind, invested in the wellbeing and development of her children, nurturing, respectful, offering attachment. I could be writing for days! Filareti is simply the best and we feel so incredibly fortunate to have found her.
It is so comforting to know how happy Daniel is at Filareti’s. He runs to her every morning with a big cuddle and kiss and you can see they have a special connection. It is peace of mind for every parent to have that home away from home feeling. Filareti is fantastic at communicating and documenting their variety of learning and exploring. She is so personable and kind and I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful care giver.
Filareti has been looking after our little 15 month boy for 7 months and he loves it!
Filareti is extremely gentle and caring with our boy, he always looks forward to going. She is very organised with weekly themes like fire prevention, traffic awareness and space to name a few.
We love receiving weekly updates, videos and photos of what our little boy has been up to - from crafts, cooking, gardening and playing. - it’s lovely to see him smiling away.
