About Me

A qualified, dedicated and truly passionate teacher with 13 years experience as a childcare specialist. I qualified as a primary teacher in 2015 and since then have taught in a variety of schools both here in the United Kingdom and in the United Arab Emirates. I was also Head Teacher of the English department whilst in Dubai and hold TEFL and TESOL certificates, being a confident and engaging teacher of English to both children and adults.

I have thorough understanding of the National primary Curriculum, the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, specialist subject knowledge of the Read Write Inc. and Letters and Sounds phonics programmes and the Maths Mastery scheme. Preparing children for examinations such as phonics screening tests, Year 2 and year 6 SATs, 4+, 7+ and 11+ entrance tests.

I have been teaching and tutoring for the best part of 13 years and have decided to set up private (1:1) and small group tuition (no more than 4 children) in a purpose built cabin in Chalfont St Giles, HP8.

From my experience small group learning sessions allow children the opportunity to work collaboratively with peers, share insights and learn from other perspectives, all whilst developing effective study habits that will serve throughout their school life and beyond.

Each session will be in alignment with the National Curriculum, securing core skills in both English and maths and building on the foundations to unlock challenging concepts, identify gaps and address misconceptions as well as building on the skills and techniques in preparation for examinations.

My philosophy relies heavily on creating learning opportunities that are engaging, challenging and spark light-bulb moments in a nurturing and welcoming environment with their well-being and self esteem at the heart.

With a passion for children’s learning, development and self-esteem, I exert to make learning fun, interactive and ‘real-life’ for all learners.
