About Me

I left my job as a primary school teacher in December 2021 and started working for a family part-time. I decided on nannying as it was a job I had whilst studying at university and has always been the best job in the world!

I'm now looking for a new, (preferably)term-time only nanny position. Hours and days are fairly flexible. will consider full-time and part-time work.

I love outdoors activities, including: walking, cycling, all things nature, gardening, bird watching and hiking. I also love arts and crafts including messy play! I'm a keen swimmer and love to read. I love trips to the beach, woods and other places which are free but also provide endless opportunities to play and learn. Working with children is a privilege and I absolutely relish in watching and helping children grow. I actively seek out groups, activities and new places to keep the children entertained and I would be able to use this to its full advantage as a nanny for any age children.
Happy to help with light housework and all duties relating to the children. I'm also more than happy to help with school work etc. especially since I've been a teacher for 16 years, teaching both KS1 and KS2.
I love to cook (and get children involved where possible) so I would be happy preparing meals for the child/children and even the family if required.

I am a mummy to 10 year old twins and therefore have experience of multiples.
I will follow whatever routines or plans you have in place but am also happy to help give advice (from personal experience) if it is required.

I know from having had our own nanny, how important it is to find someone who fits your family's needs and to find someone who you don't need to give constant direction to. With work pressures, you need to be able to just hand over and go without worrying. I hope that I could be that person for you!

My Experience

18 months in current position - nanny for a 2 year old boy.
I nannied for a wonderful family for around 3 years during university studies and have maintained contact with the (now grown-up) child I worked with!

I have twin 10 year olds (b&g) and therefore have very relevant experience with twins and the joys and challenges they bring!

I have worked as a primary teacher for 16 years now and am looking for a change. I loved nannying and even after all these years, still maintain its the best job I've ever had!

My Qualifications

Qualified teacher (primary).
GCSE (2A*, 7 A, 1B)
Alevel: computing, French and German
BSc Psychology (2:1) university of Greenwich

My Availability

Ideally looking for term-time work as I have my own children and we regularly use the school holidays to get away. There could be some flexibility in the longer holidays and this could suit a teacher or someone who works in education and has the holidays off themselves, but needs the odd day here or there through the holiday. I am not available for regular evening babysitting due to having my own family.
