About Me

We are looking for someone who ideally has some experience in supporting a young client with a physical disability but not essential. Child care experience required, excellent communication skills and a non-smoker.

For the applicants information: The family have rabbits and guinea pigs, cats and x2 (pug) dogs as pets currently.

S is an outgoing, warm and intelligent little girl who loves animals- bunny rabbits and dogs. She enjoys imaginative play and engages in reading.

S was born with a congenital condition that affects her bone development and therefore mobility and upper limbs. She loves to drive and dance in her powered wheelchair to mobilise. S continues to develop in her core strength and is now able to mobilise more through using her walker to develop her mobility at home.

S requires full support for her care needs, including but not limited to personal care, feeding, toileting etc.

S is looking for a creative, fun and energetic support worker to join her team and provide 1:1 support so that she may remain safe and be empowered to be as independent as possible.

In addition to home help S will require a 1:1 in school from September if this is something you are interested in please get in touch.

COVID-19 considerations:
The family are extremely covid-19 safety cautious due to S's condition also causing her to be more susceptible to respiratory illness. Any applicant would be asked not to work if they show any cold/ covid-19 symptoms. All applicants are encouraged to have had their vaccinations and to adhere to any booster programmes in order to keep the client and family safe.
