About Me
Hi my name is Amy, I am 42 years young and live with my husband Andrew. We have a beautiful, polite and curious nine year old boy and we have a lively, happy 3 year old boy too. I love being a Mummy and together we are both busy and creative explorers.
I have an experienced background in childcare and this has enabled me to support children with learning and development. I have worked alongside families in private day care for over 20 years and have built up a sound and professional knowledge for all things childcare.
I am Ofsted registered as a childminder and I'm looking to work with families to provide happy, loving and nurturing care. I had my ofsted inspection in March 2023 and recieved a good rating.
I have a home from home ethos and believe in forming secure relationships, exploring from their own interests which i believe are paramount to their individual learning.
I have a clean, child friendly home with areas for children to learn and thrive. My garden contains
a large messy kitchen to encourage curiosity and imagination. I also have activities to promote physical development such as painting, ball skills, tuff tray experiences and more. Inside my home there are two areas for children to explore, rest and play.
I also enjoy spending time with children in the wider environment be it sharing stories at libary or nature hunting in local parks/walks.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience spanning over three day nurseries with ages ranging from six weeks to five years. I have managed each setting and also worked as a nursery nurse.
Over this time I have been accredited with childcare certificates such as Safeguarding, food hygiene, working with babies, in the moment planning, understanding play and more.
I am a Mummy to Frankie who is 9 years old, Tommy who is 3 years old and step Mummy to Bailey who is 16 years old thus giving first hand experiences.
As well as this I have a large extended family and I am often involved with all the younger ones and visiting outdoor areas.
I have also recently accepted a position as a school midday supervisor term time only.
My Qualifications
I hold a level 3 in Childcare and Education. I have completed many courses and these are available to view on request.
My Availability
The sessions I operate are Monday to Thursday.
I can offer before and after school care to Milford Academy.
Morning sessions are 8am till nursery/school drop off. After school sessions till 5.30pm.
School holiday care is also available.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
My fees are £20.00 for morning and afternoon sessions includes afterschool snack.
In the holidays I can offer full days and charge £5.00 per hour.
I close on Bank Holidays, Christmas break and up to an additional 4 weeks in the year.

Amy has looked after my two girls since January 2021 when they were 9months and 2 years old and they both adore her, Andy and Frankie.
Both of my girls have come along massively since being with Amy and I don’t think this would have happened without the words and guidance that she gives.
Amy is always on hand for guidance and help when I have anything that concerns me and gives me a daily update with photos, videos and descriptions of the activities they have done during the day.
I honestly cannot recommend Amy (and her family) enough, they are true diamonds!

Amy looked after my little boy from last January through to when he started school in October and I can't recommend her enough. He loved Amy and I really felt like she treated him like her own. She got to know him and put a lot of thought into activities that aligned with his interests. She also encouraged him to try new things. He started swimming lessons during the time he was with Amy and he really wasn't keen at all. In the lead up to starting, she talked to him about it, discussed his worries and even made him a certificate to celebrate the fact that he stayed for the whole lesson. Amy's little boy is also super sweet and my son got along really well with him and misses him a lot. We were really sad to leave.
Amy is so much more than a childminder. I knew that when I dropped my son off in the morning, he became part of their family.

My little boy has been with Amy since she began childminding in January. I am so happy and content with the amount of love and care that Amy shows my son. He previously attended nursery and yet Amy has done so much for him in the short time that he’s been with her in comparison to what he did/achieved whilst in nursery. She is warm, caring and extremely enthusiastic! Her setting is amazing and the children couldn’t want for anything. She gives a good healthy balance of meals and snacks, she engages so well with the children and keeps me updated on how he is throughout the day with photos, videos etc.
My little boy loves to explore at Amy’s, he loves all the creative work he gets to do, playing in the mud kitchen and going on trips to different parks. He just loves being there, and I can’t blame him as it’s clear how much Amy loves the children and what she does.
If you are looking for a childminder, I could not recommend her more, I look forward to seeing what else my little boy gets up to and learns with Amy 😊
