About Me
Hello! My name is Elmira, and I’m a kind, attentive, and trustworthy childminder based in Leith, Edinburgh. I’m currently completing a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh, where I’ve taught undergraduate tutorials in English and Scottish Literature, and supported students through their learning journeys. I’ve spent several years working in after-school education programs and most recently as an after-school childminder, caring for young children aged 4–11. I’m passionate about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children, whether that means helping with homework, inventing stories together, heading to the park or the library, or simply offering a calm and supportive presence after a busy school day. I’m responsible, calm under pressure, and genuinely enjoy supporting children’s growth through curiosity, play, and routine.
