About Me
Hello, I'm a 33-year-old who has dedicated my career to working with children. I have two children of my own and have been passionate about child development since I left school.
To further my knowledge and expertise, I completed a BTec National Diploma in Early Years, which provided me with the necessary qualifications and skills to work in various settings.
I began my career working in nurseries, where I gained valuable experience in managing and caring for children of different ages. Later, I moved to a neonatal unit where I worked with preterm babies. This was a challenging yet fulfilling role, and I am proud to have been part of the team that provided the best possible care for these vulnerable infants.
My experience in both nursery and neonatal care has given me a unique perspective on child development, and I am passionate about continuing to learn and grow in this field. I am committed to providing children with the best possible care, and I look forward to using my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in their lives.
My Experience
Neonatal and Maternity Nursery Nurse (2011-2022): Provided specialised care for preterm babies in a busy neonatal unit for 10 years. Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans, monitored vital signs, administered medications, and provided emotional support to families during their stay. Also worked within the maternity services offering new mothers breastfeeding support and general advice. Conducted assessments of breastfeeding and provided education and support on lactation, infant care, and nutrition. Offered guidance and support to mothers with postpartum depression and anxiety.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 BTec National Diploma
I am certified in First Aid training
I have undergone a CRB/DBS background check using the DBS Update Service
Baby massage instructor
My Availability
I am quite flexible and can work both days and nights depending on the needs of the job. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of childcare and can arrange my schedule to fit around my own family commitments.
Additionally, I am available for other childcare services such as babysitting, night nanny services, as well as weekends and evenings. I am also available for wedding nannying
