About Me
Laura and Simon welcome you to Little Birds Bristol, a home from home childcare setting.
We will care for your child like our own.
We have a child-centred approach to learning and will nurture your child and support them to develop crucial life skills in a play-based environment.
We will do this by following your child's interests, devoting time to them and getting to known them, and their needs, individually. We will encourage and support your child to become independent and work with you to help them become school-ready.
Safety is our utmost priority and we are both paediatric first aid trained. Our home has been risk assessed and adapted to enable a safe learning environment. We spend our days in our purpose-built playroom, garden and on outings such as the woods, local playgroups and we are soon hoping to start weekly visits to a local care home in our intergenerational visits.
We provide healthy and balanced meals every day, and are happy to discuss and meet dietary requirements.
Our standard day is 8am to 6pm, however, we recognise that many parents require extended hours, therefore we can discuss and offer wrap around care to meet your needs.

My Experience
We are both Ofsted register childminders; Laura is a qualified teacher with 8 years experience in early years; and Simon has experience at a well known nursery chain.
My Qualifications
We are Ofsted registered, having completed the inspection and intensive course prior to that. Laura has 10 years teaching experience in early years. Simon used to work for a large nursery chain. And we are parents to our 3 year old daughter.
My Availability
We work Monday to Friday term-time only. We have availability coming up in January 2023.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.47 per hour
We charge £65 per day (8am-6pm), with £6 per half hour outside of this, and between 7am and 7pm.
