Experienced with children aged between
5 months to 5 years old.

- Qualified in children and young people

Why I love working with kids:
I love working within the childcare sector because I can work with parents to support the development of their children in a fun and stimulating environment. Every day is different when working with children. There is always something new to explore or play with, and each day, you can see their little personalities grow and their interests change.
Super powers:
Outdoors explorer: I am a lover of nature and believe that children can learn so much about their environment and that nature is a great way for children's overall development from physical development of climbing, running, fine motor skills, problem-solving skills of building using natural resources, understanding of the world around them, language development and so much more.
Crafty: I am a very crafty person and enjoy drawing, painting, and making things. I would do a lot of messy play with children from baking, cooking, making our own playdough and salt dough, exploring colour and shapes with painting and drawing, cutting and sticking.
Calm and loving: I always ensure to put the children's personal interests and needs first when planning activities, I understand children are still developing and understanding their own feelings as well as boundaries and sometimes they will push boundaries to better understand. I am very calm and will explain in different ways health and safety to ensure the well-being of the children at all times in a positive nature.

Tanya has worked with us and our little boy for 16ish months. She is a wonderful nanny and we would highly recommend her (we are moving out of the area unfortunately or would love to keep her with us!). Our little boy adores her, she is incredibly kind, calm and patient with him and I always hear them having a brilliant time together when I’m working from home. She is creative and always coming up with great activities for them to do together. From a parents perspective Tanya is always helpful, punctual and communicative, I have lots of wonderful pictures and videos she takes for us. As first time parents she is our go to for advice on things such as potty training etc and we really value her opinion. You can tell she has worked in a nursery previously as she is very on it with the development side of activities, our little boy had a speech delay and she has really helped him with overcoming it. She’s also quick to help out around the house, unpacking the dishwasher etc before we even ask and always tidies up at the end of the day. She has really become part of our family and we are heartbroken to lose her.
Tanya was really friendly and very good with our 5 month old son. It was our first time leaving him with someone whilst we went back to work so we weren't sure what he would be like. We immediately felt confident leaving him in Tanya's capable hands. Her experience in childcare is very evident and she got on brilliantly with our son who came to us in the evening very smiley! We'll definitely be in touch again.
