My Summary
About Me
HI! My name is Amy, I am 23 years old and have been working with children professionally since i was 16 and have been babysitting since I was 15. I have worked in a wide variety of settings looking after children of many ages from premature baby to 18yrs old. I am very passionate about working with children and love to plan activities that encourage education and development (it will be that fun your child wont even notice they are learning!). I love to go on outings and help children to explore the world. I have a full driving license and my own car which I am happy to use to go on outings or for drop off/pick up. I enjoy the outdoors, crafts, messy play activities and outings like the zoo. I also love animals and am happy to include pets in our daily plans!
If you have any questions or specific requirements please do not hesitate to get in touch and let me know!
I have a PVG which I am willing to update upon request. I am not currently registered so cannot accept childcare vouchers.
I am a non-smoker
I have my own car
I am happy to work in a home with pets
My Experience
I have been baby sitting since i was 15 for friends and family. I worked for a year and a half in a nursery caring for children aged 3 months to 5 years. I have also worked in a play cafe where I organised activities for children of all ages. As part of my uni experience I have worked in hospital settings with children aged 0-18yrs, including premature babies. I have carried out multiple duties within all of these roles and have an abundance of skills and knowledge relating to childcare.
I have an NC in Early Education and child care, and SQV Social services (children and young people) SCQF Level 7. I am also trained in paediatric first aid. I also have a SHE2 award in child nursing! This equates to the first 2 years of a child nursing degree.
I am currently a nanny and have now been a nanny for a year and a half. I have experience nannying for a newborn to 2years old. However I have experience with a wide range of ages from other roles.

Amy was a nanny for our children (ages 4-18 Months) for about 18 months from February 2023 to July 2024. During this time she provided exceptional care and nurturing for our children. She was prompt, communicative, and assertive. She never hesitated to help us with whatever was needed and was flexible with her time and responsibilities. We’d recommend Amy for any childcare role - and would have happily continued working with Amy if we remained in the area.

Thank you so much Nicole, miss you all very much!
Amy shows a real passion for childcare and her enthusiasm and bubbly personality shine through. She has recently decided to alter her career path to focus more on one-to-one childcare and it is refreshing to hear her plans for the future. Her manner is confident, accommodating and responsible and although our requirements did not match for a full-time position, I would be happy for her to care for our children in the future. She has an enormous amount of transferable skills and is fully up to date with child safety and health.
