My Requirements

We are looking for a full time nanny (approx 9-5) for our 2.5 year old son for a 4-5 week summer job from 1st August and there may be an opportunity to extend this.

Our son has cognitive and physical disabilities, he doesn’t walk or talk, but he doesn't require any nursing, medical interventions or specialist experience. He is very smiley and happy and just requires one-to-one care and stimulation similar to a 6 month old.

The role would include all child caring responsibilities while my partner and I work from home. He loves to be around other children and be outdoors so we’re looking for someone who can take him to the park and playgroups. Our flat is in E17 on the border of Walthamstow and Leyton so ideally this would suit someone who lives nearby and could take him to their place for part of the day or has a local network of nannies/childminders they can hang out with, though not essential.

He has a team of wonderful therapists so the role might include taking him to some therapy appointments nearby - play/music therapy etc. There is also the opportunity to receive some training in speech and language therapy, play therapy and physiotherapy techniques.
