About Me
My husband and I have been together 15 years (in our late 30s) and are warm, friendly and relaxed. We love food, music and travel. We live in Walthanstow village, our 4 year old son goes to St Marys (in reception) and I am on maternity leave looking after our 5 month old daughter (going back to work in September). Our son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 3 months ago and we are looking for someone to get medically trained from his nurse (a morning/afternoon in person with a nurse from Whipps Cross Hospital - we would pay for this) and to become an extension of our family to help us manage things more easily.
Our son is fun-loving, very energetic and starting to adjust to these huge changes in his life. He is very smitten with his new baby sister who is a very happy content baby and very happy mainly watching her big brother.
My Requirements
We are primarily looking for an after school nanny for our diabetic son for 2-3 days a week, but also ideally 3-4 hours a week to help me with my 5 month old baby until she starts nursery in September (when i go back to work), some help in school holidays (i’m struggling to find holiday camps in Walthamstow with diabetic training), and babysitting/occasional weekend help now and then.
He is currently in teatime club 5 days a week but we want to find someone keen to learn his medical care (and add that to their CV!) to be with him 2-3 days after school, and ideally take him out the house to activities (football club or swimming lessons for example). We would like a teatime meal to be prepared (along with my daughter once she is weaned). May need our daughter occasionally picked up from Little Learners nursery (attached to his school) around 5ish.
Hours 3.30-6pm (with flexibility to stay later sometimes to help with bedtimes / babysit). Some flexibility on days - but ideally days Tues- Fri (as when i go back to work my non working dsy is Monday).
