I am 25 years old, living in Locksbottom, Orpington.
I am originally from Cape Town, South Africa and have been living in the UK for 5 years. I attended an all-girls boarding school in Stellenbosch, where I learned to be independent, self sufficient, kind and hard working. When I finished school at 18 years old I had a dream to move to the UK. My mom and brother, who I am still extremely close with, were both very sad to see me leave! But, here I am, 5 whole years later!
I have moved around quite a lot, mostly to figure out where I truly want to settle. I have worked a few jobs, gained loads of experience, and now I am a Food and beverage manager at a golf course in Orpington. I am first aid qualified, hold a level 3 in food hygiene and am able to provide great references. I live in Locksbottom with my partner Ben, and am happy to say I think I have truly found my home away from home.
3 years ago I was the nanny to 3 girls in Teddington. I was a live-in nanny and worked Monday - Friday. I was responsible for all school runs, taking them to their after school activities, helping with homework, preparing all their meals etc. I absolutely loved it! I relocated and so left the job, but now I find myself wanting to do something similar again and have no plans to leave the area for the foreseeable.

My Experience
I was the nanny to 3 girls aged 5,7 and 9 for just over a year in 2021. I worked part time a few days a week, depending on how many hours their father needed me.
Their mum and dad had recently divorced and the dad needed some help with the girls because his job was very demanding. I would wake the girls up, get them dressed, fed, school runs, after school activities, dinner and bedtime. I often took them out, whether it be for a picnic in the park or a treat (they loved Gail’s bakery) and always had a fabulous time. I assisted them with their homework and also encouraged stimulating activities.
