Welcome to Super Cubs Childcare!
Combining the comfortable and familiar atmosphere of a home with the structure and activities associated with nurseries, my aim is to provide a warm, friendly and exciting environment that children and parents look forward to being a part of each day. I strive to meet all children's individual needs, taking account of their interests and unique personalities through a close relationship with families. Through a daily routine that includes stimulating, engaging and new experiences, children will feel safe, secure and happy. My vision is that your little cubs will become their own superhero, learning by having fun!
My name is Rebecca and I have over 15 years of childcare experience.
I have a First Class Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies and went on to achieve Qualified Teacher Status. I have been a primary school teacher for 8 years and have loved my time in schools. Also, I have spent time tutoring, working in nurseries, with children’s charities, and in holiday camps, toddler groups and extracurricular clubs.
I’m now so passionate about my childminding career.
I live with my husband and our two young children in a detached house. Your children will have access to a spacious room for free play, a kitchen/ dining area for crafts and sharing meals, large garden with play centre, and separate room for naps. We have a dog, cats, rabbits and fish which are a big part of our family. We are lucky to be in a lovely neighbourhood with fields and parks nearby.
Whilst in my care, children will enjoy:

- Child initiated play
- Trips to parks, the zoo, the library, toddler classes, the woods, soft play and other places linked to our monthly theme.
Each week I organise Forest School sessions with other childminders and their children. Each week has a different nature theme and we spend the morning outdoors, playing, learning and socialising.
I run a toddler group on Thursdays so the children will get to visit a familiar environment to socialise with others and play with different toys. I link the activities we do there to our monthly theme!

My Experience
I started my childminding journey in 2017 using my considerable experience and training in child development and learning. Since then I have continued to update my knowledge and skills from courses, hands on experience, and evaluating and improving my practice.

My Availability
My hours are 9am to 3pm, with some flexibility.
Term time only, with occasional school holiday availability.

My Fees

Looked after my little girl for a year. Went above and beyond, flexible, friendly, helpful. Daughter loved her and never wanted to leave. Always had fun and was busy.

Becky is one of those people that naturally is great at anything to do with children. She’s an ex-teacher & always has the Early Years framework in her thoughts. She is very engaging with children, whether caring for them or not, & a true believer that kids learn best through play. Her imagination is honed to thinking of creative ideas that bring out the best in all kids, whilst unknowingly to the child, teaching them.
Becky was childminder to both of my children for over a year & they grew so much during that time - I have no doubt this was due to the learnings, fun & creativity she did with them. They couldn’t wait to go & see her, & came back happy. They still talk about her now & she holds a very special place in our hearts.
I could not recommend this lady enough.
