My Summary
About Me
Fun, energetic, hard working, patient, understanding and organised! Able to carry out all nursery duties, arrange age appropriate activities and classes, cook home made nutritious meals and work alongside parents to provide the best care for their children.
I have worked in childcare for around 10 years now in different settings including nurseries, hospitals and in the home. I like to involve children in my care in a variety of activities including trips out to the park, soft play and other activities they may already do, swimming, arts and crafts, baking etc.
I have 2 children, a son aged 6.5 and a daughter aged 4 years, however, my daughter does not need to come with me.
My Experience
I have recently left a position in a nursery environment, where I have been for approximately four years, I am in the toddler room at the moment which i thoroughly enjoy. I love the challenges and rewards the age group brings as they change and develop! I have, however, also worked with a range of ages in my career from the ages of 3 months to 8 years.
Before I had my children I worked for 2 families as a live-in nanny for a year each. My role was a mixture of sole and shared care, I participated in school runs, activities such as ‘music with mummy’ and 'Baby Babble', swimming lessons, football and riding lessons, caring for the children's day to day needs, cooking, general housework and organising trips/play dates with other nannies and parents. Due to the location and nature of the families business I am used to being flexible in my work. Although my role was primarily a day position I worked some weekends/evenings so have been involved in overnight stays, bath and bedtime. I also like to use my initiative, so when washing, ironing etc needed to be done, I was more than happy to help.
I also regularly babysit for a handful of families.
