About Me
Hi, I'm Shailey
I live with my family in a house, with a secure garden in Letchworth Garden City.
We are very lucky to be situated within a short walk to the local farm, Greenway and Common.
I have 2 children aged 10 & 7
My home setting is safe, warm, welcoming and fun.
I provide enjoyable and stimulating, age appropriate activities to encourage children to develop in all areas through play. Activities are child led & follow their own interests in order for the children to learn from & enjoy them. With some adult led activities added on occasion.
We regularly go out to explore the beautiful surroundings that we are lucky to have, as well as visiting local baby and toddler groups.
I also have memberships to farms where we extend our learning.
Sleep & rest is equally important & this is factored into each & every day.
I provide healthy, home cooked meals (lunch and dinner) and snacks and am able to cater to a range of different dietary requirements.
My working hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:45-5:45pm
Thursday 7:45-5:00pm
Friday 7:45-5:30pm
Please note: At present I am unable to offer wrap around care (nursery/school drop offs & collections)
My Experience
I have worked with children & young people of all ages in various settings.
I cater for children with food allergies and intolerances and look after children on regular medication.

Met Shailey through my then current childminder and she helped out with morning drop offs and then on holidays. My lil boy loved going to her place, playing with toys, painting, drawing, fancy dress and exploring the outdoors. Shailey provides a great and safe environment for kids to play and grow. Definitely recommend Shailey!

It was a pleasure to look after your son & see him flourish.
I wish him all the best on his next adventure at school.
Shailey has provided holiday care and supported our current childminder with looking after our three year old twin boys. They have loved the variety of toys she has and they have had great fun exploring the outdoors going on different adventures and also spending time with Shailey's own children. Shailey is very approachable and considerate of ours and the boys needs.
