About Me
Hello, my name is Marionette and I am an Ofsted registered childminder located in Deptford. I am a mother of three children (a boy & two girls). My childminding journey started in 2015 when I got pregnant with my first child. I was so intrigued that as a parent or childminder, we have an important role to play because we have an impact on their development and there upbringing as they(the children) are our future leaders.
Because of that, after the birth of my son, I went back to school and studied access to Teaching which paved the way for me to do my degree in Education, Culture and Society. This mainly focused on the early years and primary school children.
My service is to provide a high-quality childcare service that looks after the child, who is paramount and to also equally work with the parents/ carer to come up with a work plan that will lead to the development of the child/ren. Through the childcare services that I provide, I aim to make the everyday battles that modern parenthood presents just that little bit easier for the families I work with and to also deliver a service to the best of my ability.
I live in Bermondsey that has a large communal garden and a beautiful big balcony, as well as a number of good parks and open spaces within walking distance. Rachel McMillan Children's Centre (Ofsted rated 'Outstanding') is a few minute walk away along with a local leisure centre, library, and soft play facility.
My Experience
Through my time of studying, I have volunteered at my local primary school and I also use to work for a teaching agency where they used to send me to different schools to work as a teaching assistant (TA). All this grew my knowledge in understanding children and how to develop and to make sure that they are hitting every milestone possible (age-appropriate activities and the national curriculum).

My Availability
Open from Monday to Friday 7 am-8 pm.
I do local nursery/school drop-offs and pick-ups and currently collecting from Galleyway Primary school in Bermondsey. I will consider others schools within close proximity. This is negotiable depending on circumstances so please contact me to discuss your individual needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Childminding fee from £8.00/hr
*PLEASE NOTE*: A deposit equivalent to 2 weeks fees is required for all placements, which will then count as payment of the notice period when the childcare arrangement is terminated.
School Holidays:
£60 per day - 8 am-5 pm. Additional hours on either side of these times charged at £7.00/hr.
-I accept payment via tax/UC credits.
-Minimum Weekly Contract of 15hrs or equivalent payment
