About Me

I have been teaching for over fourteen years in a primary setting. I am a supply teacher as well as a tutor. I tutor children who lack confidence in their ability so I therefore ensure all sessions are based around any gaps in their learning. I am not an 11+ tutor.

I have taught children with varying needs, backgrounds, ethnicity and diversity and enjoy watching the lightbulb moment when children "get it".

Patience is a virtue, everyone learns at their own pace so it doesn`t matter how many times and in how many different ways something needs to be explained, as long as we get there in the end.

I have a son, dog and cat who all provide hours of entertainmnet in so many different ways! In my spare time I enjoy creative writing and observing wildlife.

My Experience

Teaching for over 14 years in a primary setting ranging from Year 1 to Year 6.

My Qualifications

I obtained my GCSEs at Southend High School for Girls. I went on to obtain further qualifications at evening classes, including GCSE and A Level Law . I decided to complete a degree with the Open University later in life and obtained a 2:1 degree - BA Hons Childhood and Youth.
Having left school, I know enjoy completing a variety of courses and I am currently undertaking an Introduction to Ornithology Diploma.
