Hello my name is Marthese. I am a mum to a 5 year old daughter. I am from an admin background, previous to this I have experience as a support worker for 7 years, nursery experience, and working with children and young people with special needs for 4 years. I have a full clean driving licence, and access to my own car. I have an enhanced DBS covering both Children and Adults.
My Experience
I have many years of experience working as a support worker, for 4 of those years I was employed by Surrey County Council working as a support worker for children and young people within their own homes, supporting them and providing their parents with respite. I have plenty of SEN experience from children to adults, and working with children and young people who have a disability or medical conditions; including autism, epilepsy, non-verbals, low or no mobility.
Alongside working, I studied a degree in Psychology Child Development, which I completed last June (2020) and achieved a 2:1.
I have personal experience with raising my daughter and I have had the opportunity of a short period of paid employment in nurseries via agency work, as well as helping out a childminder many years ago.
