About Me

My name is Michelle and I am a Ofstead registered childminder, I absolutely love children, I'm fun, loving, caring, welcoming and honest. I will opening beginning of August 2021, I live with my husband and beautiful 2 year old daughter in Coxheath. I have always wanted to work with children from a young age and done health and social care at college but was dedicated to my sports (Judo) (running). At the age of 17 I started a job in the fruit industry and stayed there for 17 years, I finally completed my qualifications and moved to childcare 4 and a half years ago where I currently work in a nursery working with children from 3 months old to 5 years and I have honestly loved it, but want to dedicate my time more on a one to one basis so children get the attention they deserve and a good relationship is built with both child/children and parents. My daughter attended a nursery for a year and now has been with a childminder for the last two months so I understand first hand how hard it is as a working parent, the setting my daughter attends is amazing and has given me a lot of inspiration! My daughter absolutely loves it there and is so happy and that is what I would like from the children I have in my care, happiness, laughter and fun learning covering the EYFS framework. My daughter will be counted in my ratio on a daily basis, she is adorable, loving, caring and so funny! And loves other children.

The last 4 and a half years has given me a deep insight into how children learn best. My home endeavors to create an enabling environment which plays a key role in supporting Children's leaning and development where Children's interests, choices and independence matters on a more one to one basis. I provide a safe, secure, exciting, happy,warm environment. I like routine and also love music time, phonics, reading, themes and lots of outside learning with walks, toddler groups and trips to the local attractions such as, kent life, Leeds castle, the hop farm and mote park. I have two rooms in the house that have arts and crafts, mathematics, small world. Role play, book corner and music area. I have a very large garden that has all the above as well as mud kitchen, sand and water, slide, swings, seesaw, bikes and cars and a trampoline for so much fun!
