About Me
Hi, My name is Louise and I'm 30 years old, newly registered childminder in Houghton Regis.
I offer drop off and pickup from Thornhill primary school.
I have worked in childcare for over 12 years- i provide a warm, safe and stimulating environment. I'm very passionate about working with children and love to be able to to nurture them and watch them grow.
I have an indoor space for learning and play, I supply a wide range of activities. I will take trips out to the local parks, farms and playgroups etc. I also have a membership for Dunstable downs and Whipsnade zoo that we will also do trips out to. I ensure to plan activities to suit the children's needs and interests. All children will have their own learning journal. I will also send parents regular updates on their children via WhatsApp.
I love my job and each day is a new adventure!
I am very energetic, bubbly, reliable, loving person. I take pride in my work and i value working as part of a family and becoming an extended member. My hobbies include exercise, singing, arts and crafts and generally anything creative.
My Experience
I worked with a family looking after 2 children who were 5 years and 8 years. Both of which were girls. My duties included picking them up from school, helping with homework, reading, cooking dinner and taking them to after school clubs. This was my first nanny job which i had for a year.
I then worked in a nursery called boys and girls for 2 years. My duties here included looking after toddlers. I had 5 key children I did nappy changes, potty training, playing and communicating with the children, i helped with mealtimes, liaised with parents and took parents evenings. I also completed the EYFS folders each month.
My next nanny position i looked after 2 girls who were 2 years and 5 years. This was a before and after school role. My duties included nursery and school runs helping with homework, reading, meal prep, cleaning the house and ironing the children's clothes. I also had to take the girls to extra activities. During the the school holidays i worked full time. I organised play dates, days out, creative activities etc. I was with them for a year before they decided to emigrate.
I then looked after a 6 year old girl for 2.5 years before and after school. My duties included the same as above and she did a lot of clubs in which i took her too. Alongside this job i looked after a 10 year old girl with special needs and learning difficulties. This is a role i continue to do on occasions. It stopped for time due to covid.
This was my next role 3 full days a week looking after twin girls of 2 years. When i started this position, they were 1 years old. They also have a brother who is 5 years old. My daily routine consists of taking the girls to0 different activities (playgroups the parks, meeting friends or other nanny with children), giving them lunch and nap if needed. Unfortunately, this role is coming to an end due to girls starting nursery.
I have worked as a nanny for many years now and have decided to go into childminding from home and I cant wait to start this journey!
I also do babysitting during the evenings or weekends if needed.
I am also offering night and holiday nannying !

Our daughter started with Louise in March. From the first contact we had, Louise has been professional and friendly.
She didnt shy away when advised about our daughter's medical condition.
When we took our daughter for her trial, Louise understood how as parents we would be feeling and within 15 minutes she had sent us a photo showing her playing so we could see she was ok.
Each time we pick our daughter up we are given an update of how her day has been, how she's slept, eaten etc. Our daughter happily goes there and comes out smiling. Louise and her team are amazing and we would definitely recommend.
Overall
Couldn’t recommend Louise enough! My daughter started at age 8months and has thrived beyond anything we could have imagined. She adores Louise and everyone who works there and there are never any tears when she goes. We pull up and she gets so excited and once she see Louise she puts her arms straight out for her. It’s such a friendly setting and Louise goes above and beyond for the children there. Honestly the best childcare EVER 🥰🤍🤍

Louise babysat for the first time with our 3yr old. She was great, engaged well with our son who loved her and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Louise. It was our first time leaving him with a babysitter and certainly would not hesitate to use Louise again on other occasions

Louise has been brilliant - I ended up without a nanny at short notice and she has managed to fit me in and look after my three boys 6, 4 and 1. My 1 year old has been very clingy to me and I’ve had to get into work. She’s been really loving to him and supportive and I’m so grateful for her kind, calm manner. She’s happy to help out, independently finds classes to take him to and is unphased by the chaos of all three boys together. She’s trustworthy and kind, all my boys quickly took to her. I consider myself very lucky to have found her.

Louise left us in June 2021. She was primarily responsible for looking after our twin girls who were 18 months when she started and are now 3 years old.
Louise’s main responsibilities were preparing / supervising at meal times, arranging and taking girls to playgroups, the park, and other kids entertainment places, ensuring the girls have a nap, reading and doing some home based activity whether it be making cards for special occasions or simply imaginative play.
Pre- covid Louise used to also take my 5 year old son to school and collect him. She happily engages with him once he is home from school. Louise always makes an effort to arrange fun activities for the 3 kids during school holidays. To date she has taken them pumpkin picking for Halloween, RAF museum, Oxhey Woods for a picnic, Black Park and many more places.
Louise is responsible, always timey, flexible (if we have needed an earlier start or late finish) and full of life and energy which is important when looking after 3 kids! She also does the best hairstyles in my girls hair!
Our kids have become so very fond of Louise and are always asking for her on days off. I really cannot recommend Louise enough. She is 100% committed to her work and always puts the needs of the kids first.
