About Me
My name is Clare McKenna and I am currently employed as an ASD teacher in a small school in London.
I am so passionate about all things autism and I want to be able to build my knowledge by working with an increasing number of students and helping them to reach their full potential. Growing up with a sibling with additional needs allows me to understand the importance of supporting these children so they can be the best they can be.
My Experience
I am currently employed full time as an ASD teacher. I teach 16 students with ASD across two classrooms. All of these students have different needs and abilities therefore I am constantly adapting and differentiating everything that I do. I enjoy teaching through play and exploration and attempt to make the majority of learning sensory, engaging and fun through activities such as attention autism, sensory play and teacch tasks.
I will work with you to set individual and personalised goals that you want your child to achieve. I then have the resources and ability to teach your child to reach this goals. I am creative, fun, caring, passionate and good at what I do.
