About Me

I offer a unique blend of flexible childcare solutions as a nanny-childminder, specialising in gentle, attachment-focused care for sensitive children. I can care for little ones in your home as a nanny, in my own home and beautiful garden as an Ofsted registered childminder, and out and about in the community and natural world.

I have over 10 years of childcare experience as an au pair and nanny. I’m also a parent to an awesome 4 year old, so I know what it’s like to juggle the ups and downs of parenting toddlers and preschoolers!

I use gentle, respectful, attachment parenting with a sprinkling of Montessori and forest school approaches. I feel passionate about working with the whole family and building the village so many of us lack - it is my intention that your journey as a parent is honoured and supported by my care and connection, not hindered by it.

My focus as a childcare provider is on the empathetic and compassionate nurturing of the whole child, ensuring their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing while having lots of child-led fun, preferably outside! I'm a creative, outdoorsy person who loves being silly and believes the best learning happens with an abundance of love and laughter. I use baby signing, song and dance, toys and natural materials to support a child’s learning and development.

I am a Forest Childcare Provider and I believe that spending time outdoors is important for all of us. With me, children are outdoors for part of every day, no matter the weather, because I believe that fresh air and wide open spaces are fundamentally good for us all! I have a fully enclosed beautiful back garden that the children can access whenever they want. We also enjoy visiting nearby parks, woods, sanctuaries and nature reserves on a regular basis.

I offer childcare in my own home as an Ofsted registered childminder but I still operate essentially as a nanny, looking after just one or two children, occasionally alongside my own daughter. She is a sensitive pandemic child who did not settle at nursery; she’s now at a forest school kindergarten 4 days per week and doing wonderfully, I believe in part due to the time she’s spent building friendships and social skills with the children I nanny. She is still building her confidence in busy social settings and she thrives with a consistent routine and small circle of friends - if your child(ren) would also benefit from this, I'd love to help support them to gently explore the wider world while I provide a warm safety net for them. My daughter adores babies and has become the best little helper, but I'd also love to find other preschoolers closer to her age for us to care for.

I’ve been nannying with my little one in tow since October 2021, a mix of sole charge as well as days with my daughter joining us, and each family has seen an incredible response from the children, learning new skills from each other, building their first friendships, benefitting in so many ways both developmentally and socially.
