Hello,
My name is Moana and I have worked in the child care sector for 9 years. I began working in a private nursery setting as a senior practitioner where I completed my level 3 NVQ. Once gaining 5 years of experience I decided to expand my experience working one-to-one with a family as their full-time nanny for a year and a half. During this time I was responsible for taking the child to weekly activities. I would prep and cook nutritional meals. I would help keep the child’s areas clean and tidy and also plan activities, such as baking or messy play.
I then moved on to worked in a forest school as a room leader for the baby room, where I am responsible for 5 babies 18months and under.
I realised at this stage I wanted more of a challenge so moved to work in a setting in Shipbourne where I gained experience as a deputy manager. I enjoyed this role as I enjoyed working at a fast pace, managing a team and planning lots of fun group parent partnership meetings. I have always had a passion for children and love being a part of their development and watching them grow into the best versions of themselves. I am particularly interested in outdoor play and meeting other Nannie’s for interaction.
I like to think of my self as enthusiastic, caring, organised and someone who loves to get stuck in.
