About Me
Hello! My name is Emily and I am a 26-year-old primary school teacher from Epsom. I am a bubbly and positive person who adores working in the childcare sector. I have taught for 3 years and am seeking to gain more experience as a nanny before moving to Australia next year. Before I began my teacher training back in 2019, I achieved a 2:1 Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood at Portsmouth University. On top of my teaching career, I have gained lots of other experience in childcare, e.g. David Lloyds Kids Coach, children’s party entertainer, and Early Years’ Coordinator at Barracudas Summer Camp in Cobham. As well as this, I enjoyed many years of babysitting children of all ages. I worked as a nanny for a family for eight months during my gap year before starting university. In July 2022 I worked as a nanny full-time for a 15 month old boy (now almost 3!). As the family no longer need me full time, I began a new adventure in the corporate world as an Account Manager in Richmond. I still work for the family as and when they need me. Due to the years and variety of experience, I believe I have attained the vital skills that are needed when working with children. Ideally I would like to work full time Monday-Friday (mornings/afternoons and possibly evenings).
My Experience
I have worked as a babysitter (all ages), beavers volunteer (boys aged from 5-7), David Lloyds kids coach (3-7 year olds), early years co-ordinator at a holiday camp (3-5 year olds), cheerleading coach for primary school children and have been teaching for 3 years.
My Qualifications
I have attained 11 GCSE's (A-C), 3 A-levels, a university degree (2:1) for Childhood development and my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
