My Experience

I have an Upper Second-Class Degree in Sociology and I have completed my qualification as a Classroom Teacher. Since gaining a QTS I am currently working as Supply Teacher where I believe I have demonstrated my ability as a Classroom Practitioner and served as a positive role model towards my class and other students within the variety of Schools I have worked at. Throughout my time as Supply Teacher, I have delivered a range of lessons in all subject areas of the National Curriculum. Moreover, I have gained confidence in implementing the Primary Framework developed my subject knowledge further. The vast experience I have gained working in Long-Term Supply as a Teacher has aided my understanding process of progression from KS1 to KS2 and this in turn has helped me support children to their fullest potential.
My time in school has developed my philosophy of valuing each child as an individual, as well as a community. I have worked with pupils from disadvantaged families or deprived areas and have effectively dealt with situations that could impinge on their ability to successfully learn and develop. I aim to give children as many learning opportunities and experiences in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for future life. Learning must be customised for each pupil’s strengths, needs, skills and interests; all of which underpin personalised learning.
