My Summary

My Experience

I am a hardworking and dedicated individual who puts their mind and heart into everything they do. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working at Barclays,
however I now feel it is my time to break away and partake in an occupation that brings me true happiness, and this is it.
From a young age I was always interested in childcare whether it was nannying, teaching or caring, I really did not mind. From 8 years old, I was always the child responsible for looking after the younger ones at family/friends parties or gatherings and I still pride myself on that to this day. There is no doubt that I would rather sit and entertain the children at a family BBQ than sit
around with the adults, it really does make me very happy. I have had experience in childcare personally with baby sitting but also in a larger environment. When I attended Stagestruck Academy in Frinton, I would
often help teach or run the younger classes as teaching and assisting children with their learning is always something that has come very naturally to me.
I am currently working at the Prince's Youth Theatre in Clacton-on-sea, where I teach Musical Theatre to 3 different classes of ages 4-10, 11-14 and 15-17. At school I volunteered at Frinton Primary School and assisted the children in rehearing for their end of year school play, it was from here on that I realised working
in a secondary or primary was definitely for me.
I am easily adjustable and good at reading someone’s character, I feel I could easily adjust my approach and teaching skill to cater to every child’s specific needs. I have a very good imagination and I feel this is something key to have when working with children at such a developmental point in their growth. I am a very positive and smiley person. I would treat every child respectfully and equally. I am a confident person who would be able to approach every situation with sincerity and care. I have GCSEs in both English and Maths and I also studied English A Level so I would easily be able to support children in these areas. I was lucky enough to be taught how to use a computer/laptop when I was at school and I feel these skills would be appropriate for assisting the
children. I am one who sticks very closely to the rules and regulations, this was something very strict within my time at the bank. I am very observant and aware, I feel I would be able to identify any issues with the children before
they developed further.
