About Me

I'm looking for 1-3 hours of part time care. This will be Tuesday-Friday anytime between 10am to 6pm. I have a 2 year old who is autistic - although his support needs aren't complex it's worth keeping in mind and I'm happy to discuss his exact care requirements further although the main points are just that he needs to be kept an eye on as he has little danger awareness and it can be difficult to get him to eat and he doesn't communicate very well. Overall though he's a fairly 'easy' child and very pleasant. My youngest is 6 months and is currently solely breastfed so whenever he's around I will be anyway. I plan to be in the house most of the time anyway, just getting some jobs done while I don't have 2 kids hanging off me. I may occasionally nip out to the shops or for appointments. I'm struggling with being a stay at home mum and going the long hours 10-6 while my partner is at work without any support which is the reason for seeking childcare, I believe there is a touch of PPD going on, as well as PTSD from an accident in June. I am autistic and the sensory overload is just a lot to handle and I'm not getting chance to recover as I'm constantly in 'mum mode' without being able to switch off. We are currently waiting DLA for Wren (eldest) which if and when approved he'll qualify for 15 hours free childcare at which point he'll be joining nursery which may reduce the time we are needing home care for - although we are told it will likely be 2-3 months before we hear the outcome.
