About Me
Hi, my name is Alex
Currently I have a space for full day on a Friday.
Spaces coming available from August and September.
I am a Ofsted OUTSTANDING childminder that specialises in Early Years and pre school, children under the age of 5, and I only care for this age group in my home from home setting.
More about me .. I am passionate about early years and the foundation of early education I’m creative, enjoy sports, camping and hiking with my little dog Lola.
I am enthusiastic about nature, wildlife and use holistic techniques within my practice, we enjoy music, crafts, stories and lots of free flow and planned activities that enable children to express themselves, thrive and become independent with a “school ready” attitude.
I use Reggio and Hygge approach methods, also the use of loose parts and open ended resources.
I provide a safe and nurturing environment. We attend weekly forest school, museums, local parks, nature reserves, outdoor spaces and our local library. children have the opportunity to socialise as we attend play groups, meet with the childminder community and soft play areas which includes mini me time and tumble play.
I provide equipment and resources needed to care for babies aged from 6months up to children aged 6 years, these are accessible at all times with a large enclosed secure garden where we enjoy the mud kitchen, gardening, sand tray, water area, den building and the use of trikes, a slide, scooters, and lots of mark making areas with lots of space to explore and get messy, I love my career at Bizzy bees childminder and as a parent myself i understand how difficult it can be leaving your child, with this in mind I am dedicated to making the process feel tailored and relaxed, as a member of the stronger practice Hub I am a highly qualified and experienced childminder.

My Experience
With over 15 years experience, i have worked in a nursery in the past, spending 5 years as a deputy manager nursery nurse and before this I worked in a school. I have experience working with children with special needs, and hold a special educational needs coordinator qualification. I am fully first aid trained and hold a level 4 certification in early years leadership and management.
I’ve worked in a diverse and multi cultural environment and I am a very active member of the local childminding community and regularly help with training, playgroups, outings and toddler groups in my area.
My Qualifications
OFSTED outstanding graded and DBS checked. I am Highly trained in childrens care, learning and development. I hold a peadiatric first aid and safeguarding certificate and regularly attend courses, seminars and conferences that support children’s development, education and behaviour. I have qualified in special needs, autism and developing early years practice to children learning english as an additional language I am a special educational needs and higher level Early Years teacher.

Alex has been beyond the best choice I have ever made to give both my children the best start in life, both socially and educationally. My now 10yr old still recalls fond memories and experiences of attending Alex’s and my 3yr old who has just started school nursery still asks when she can see Alex. Chloe started with Alex when she was approx 8months old and settled in straight away with Alex’s calm, nurturing, loving personality. The experiences she gives the children is beyond anything I could ever ask for with days out and fun trips to constantly changing topics based on the seasons and monthly/yearly events. Chloe felt safe and loved when going to Alex and Alex will always be a part of our kids lives with thanks to the incredible bond she creates with all the children. Alex is constantly looking at ways to provide more for the children and has provided lots of help and support with issues we had with our girls- speech delay with Chloe- providing tools, print outs and support packets to enable us to support at home. Chloe made great friends as she grew and Alex helped create healthy relationships and supports children’s learning and development whilst gearing each experience personally to each child. I cannot thank Alex enough for the head start she had given both my girls and upon meeting her you will realise she is one of the best childcare givers in the area. The independence and confidence she instilled in the children through daily activities and games is something everyone should experience and I would recommend her without a doubt no matter what your child may need as Alex adapts and overcomes any needs of the children. I cannot thank Alex enough for what she has done for both my girls and me and will forever remember and think of her as part of our family.

My daughter has been with Alex since just before her 2nd birthday and sending her was the best decision we have made!
Barely a week goes by where my daughter doesn't come home telling us something new she has learnt. They go on brilliant trips, embrace the outdoors and she is always excited by the activities which they have planned at home as well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a childminder around the Morley area who will not just offer the best care but also nurture and develop the children as well.

Thank you Nic, we all miss Rosie massively she has left an every lasting affect on our lives and we will never forget her. She is the most amazing, funny and strong little girl we have ever met and I’m sure she will go on to spread her joy and infectious positivity to others, throughout her life.
Alex is lovely person which excellent attiute. She is very kind and proffesional. She offers lots of tings to do. My twins love her 😀😀

Alex looks after my daughter on a morning before school and she always looks forward to seeing Alex. Although my child is only there for an hour there is a range of activities for her to do and Alex provides a lovely learning environment for all the children she looks after! Above all Alex is a lovely and friendly woman who I feel completely comfortable leaving my child with.

I would highly recommend Alex she has always been able to accommodate my little boy even at short notice! My little one enjoys his time there and although he is just 9months old Alex has got him involved in making me a valentines card and a Mother's Day flower pot :) her own girls are extremely good with children too and my son loves being in their company. It has certainly helped with my sons development to be there as he learnt to sit up without any support when he first started going to Alex. Thanks a lot Alex!

Alex is a fantastic childminder, my children love going and are treated just like part of the family there :)
They always have a brilliant time whether doing activities in the house or gping out on adventures!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex to any family.

My two girls absolutley love Alex. She is really lovely and warm and my girls settled in with her straight away - so much so they never want to come home when I pick them up!
There are lots of toys and activities for the children to do and Alex made lovely posters with them for Mother's Day and masks for Easter. She also has a well equipped and safe garden for them to play in.
I would highy recommend Alex to any one looking for a childminder in Morley.

Alex is a very warm and welcoming person. Her home is lovely with lots of things for the children to do, including in the garden.
My daughter is looked after by Alex and she really enjoys it, when i collect her she is always happy and smiling and asking when she is coming back.
I would recommend Alex to people looking for a warm, caring and safe environment for their children
