My Experience

Through working in child care i gained many experiences:

i was responsible for children aged 6 months to 5 years as part of a team: Planning a schedule of daily activities which incorporate fun and learning, administering medicines to agreed safety protocols, attend and participate in team meetings, planning rapport with parents and gaining trust, preparing healthy snacks and lunches, working as part of a large team to successfully deliver outcomes, use and develop ICT skills to further my learning, maintain a good standard of appearance in order to promote a professional manner.

In the placement, I worked in a local primary school where I was assigned to work with Primary Three pupils. I was responsible for building effective relationships with teachers, classroom assistants and pupils. I was assigned responsibility to help the pupils with their school work such as reading and writing activities, sharing with fellow pupils, breaks monitoring as well as encouraging positive behaviours such as politeness.
