About Me
I have been childminding since 1993 and Ofsted rated me 'good' at my last inspection. I have always believed that children learn best when they are happy. I always aim to provide a stimulating, fun, homely environment with opportunities to continually broaden their knowledge and feed their inquisitive nature. All the activities I provide are tailored to suit each individual child snd noone is excluded. As well as an area being totally dedicated to children, I also have a large garden with plenty of toys and trees to explore. I am a very outdoorsy kind of person and most mornings are spent out either on walks or visits to parks or places of interest eg Salisbury Cathedral, the New Forest or a nature reserve, where the children can run about and burn off some energy while learning. I mix regularly with other childminding friends so that the children learn to socialise and make friends outside of my setting.. I also love doing craft, playing games, cooking and gardening with the children.
I live with my husband as well as my 3 cats.
My Experience
I have childminding for several years and have First Aid, Safe Guarding and have attended several courses. I am up to date with EYFS. I also have an NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, Learning, and Development. I also have experience with Downs Syndrome and serious food allergies.
My Qualifications
NvQ level 3. I also have 1st aid, safeguarding, mental health in children and numerous others
My Availability
My working hours are 8 to 5.30 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I no longer do school pick ups. Sadly I am retiring in September.
