About Me

Hello parents,

I am Fiona. I love children and I have 15 years’ experience looking after them in a nursery setting. I am now looking for an exciting, new opportunity to work with a family. In particular, I love the idea of using all the tools, skills and creativity I have built up in the nursery but to have the time to focus on an individual child or siblings.

I am really interested in child development and creating fun ways to encourage this. I think children grow and develop if you empower them by giving them knowledge and then letting them play. My big passion is creating activities that are fun but also aid development and I am in the process of setting up a small business with my bestfriend where we provide kits for parents to help them with this at home.

Asides from loving spending time with children, I am extremely reliable and hardworking. I take pride in everything I do and I truly believe that there is great value in my chosen career. I cannot think of anything more important than helping to shape children’s lives.

Outside of work, my time is largely devoted to my daughter, who is currently 10. We spend our time creating memories and I love taking her to museums or to the park and doing other fun activities with her. We visit interesting restaurants and learn about different cultures. I’d love to share some of these experiences with other children. I also love animals and plants and bring this into my time with the children in my care.
