About Me

An active young professional, who takes pride in working to the best of her ability. With a love for Crossfit, cooking, and exploring. My references show me to be responsible and reliable, caring, calm, always willing to help out whenever needed. I am so confident in my skills, I can guarantee only wonderful references from the parents I have worked with.

My Experience

I am a highly accomplished bilingual professional with over a decade of expertise in the education sector, specializing in nurturing and educating children and students from birth to 18 years of age. Throughout my career, I have held a diverse range of roles, including nursery assistant, nursery nurse, after-school playworker, nanny, French correspondent, SEN and Behavioural mentor, and Cover Teacher. Each position has played a pivotal role in deepening my understanding of children's learning styles and stages of development.

Throughout my career, I have actively pursued knowledge and training, immersing myself in distinct roles within school settings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the UK education system. I have participated in multiple training programs and exercises relevant to my profession, honing an indispensable and essential set of skills. This has enabled me to create a conducive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds and walks of life.

My recent employment was with a private family, where I care for an exceptional bilingual young boy. My responsibilities encompass not only nursery duties but also actively participating in his overall development, including physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and language skills.

Previously, I worked as a professional nanny for a high-net-worth family, providing dedicated care to a 7-year-old child with specific needs. My role involved attending school with him daily, planning and delivering his education, acting as the primary liaison between the school and parents, organizing playdates and outings, ensuring appropriate activities aligned with his needs, and offering proxy parenting support to give the family time away. I also provided guidance to both parents on how to best support their child, including assistance in gaining an EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan).

For over six years, I worked at The UCL Academy, I excelled in supporting and guiding students with a wide range of SEN and behavioural needs. I taught specialized, intense classes in subjects like Nurture Math, English, and Science, and assisted students in their college transitions, interviews, and further education planning. Additionally, I functioned as a mentor, advisor, and key worker, facilitating clear communication among parents, colleges, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for the students.

In my various roles, I have worked closely with students with a diverse range of needs, including speech and language issues, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, EAL, physical and sensory challenges, IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder), Cerebral Palsy, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, HI (Hearing Impairment), VI (Visual Impairment), Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), among others. I have completed relevant certified training and possess manual handling skills to oversee these specific needs effectively.

Throughout my career, I have developed effective communication skills through liaising with external professionals, practitioners, parents, and caregivers. I am equally adept at working independently as well as part of a team.

While working as a nursery nurse, my role encompassed providing comprehensive care for infants as young as 5 months. This included changing diapers, feeding, potty training, and planning and conducting daily activities suitable for each child's age and developmental milestones. I actively supported children and babies during transitional stages, offering guidance and advice to parents while adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.

Being fluent in both English and French, my strong educational background in child development (EYFS) and the National UK Curriculum has allowed me to create a nurturing and enriching childcare environment. I have successfully helped students find suitable college courses and have provided accurate references based on their performances, maintaining positive relationships with families even years after our professional engagements.

Currently, I am pursuing part-time studies in Child Psychology with Counselling as an investment in my future goals. My passion for knowledge drives me to undertake short courses regularly to stay up to date with the latest developments in educational practices for children and young people. This includes qualifying as a Senco (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), safeguarding and Childminder.

Key Skills I offer include being a cover teacher and key worker, demonstrating independence, compassion, and flexibility. I possess extensive knowledge of the EYFS framework, National Curriculum, UK school system, and child development milestones. My experience spans nurseries, primary and secondary schools, and includes effective collaboration with colleges and external practitioners. I am well-versed in behaviour management and hold certifications in SEN, Autism, SEMH, Dyslexia, Speech, and Language Therapy, EAL, Physical and Sensory needs, as well as Early and Older Years Interventions.

Furthermore, I have experience as a Personal Assistant and excel as a communicator with a proactive approach to routines. I am a certified facilitator for SEN exam access arrangements and maintain up-to-date certifications in CPR/First Aid, DBS. My references highlight my reliability and trustworthiness and are available upon request.
