About Me
I (Maud) am French, I have been living in the UK for seven years, I work full time in Finance travelling round the UK and Europe. I know it can be hard to settle in new locations and learn new languages having travelled the world with my work, so I can help with that transition having experienced it myself.
My husband (James) is British, he works full time as well, for the civil service. He speaks a little French as well but probably needs to learn a little more.... he has two older children (Ivy - 10 and Jessica - 9), they spend time with us at weekends,
My Requirements
We are a bi national, blended family, looking for a nanny to join our family. We have three children, aged 10 (Ivy), 9 (Jess) and 3 (Mathis), with a fourth arriving very soon. Ivy and Jessica are with us at weekends, so you would primarily help with Mathis & our new arrival during the week.
As for ourselves, we are two working parents in very different jobs, James has a long commute and sometimes unexpectedly long hours, while I often work away both around the UK and in Europe.
We are looking for a nanny who would help to bridge the gap between nursery closing and one of us arriving home during the week, two to three hours, two – three evenings a week. You would help with collecting him/them from the nursery, sometimes assisting during meal times, bathing and bedtime.
Depending on your experience, if you want to have a bigger role and what you are comfortable with we could adjust the nursery hours if you want to spend more time with the youngest children during the week, or help out around the house.
The applicant should be kind and patient, with a willingness to help a young child develop and grow. The ability to speak French at any level would be seen as a significant positive as we will be speaking to the child and each other in both languages, but this is not a requirement.
