My Experience
I have always been surrounded by other children, I went to a childminders when I was younger and I was the eldest there so took on a caring role for the younger children. I grew up and went to college and complete BTEC diploma level 3 in children’s care, learning and development. I went on to work at a special needs school for 4 years, working with a range of needs such as mobility, physical, health (oxygen, peg feeds, seizures). I ran a holiday club for 2 years with special needs children. I cared for a 24 year old male for 2 years, I was a deputy care manager for a domiciliary care company who always look after a range of clients (mental health, learning disabilities, elderly, physical). Also I was train the trainer in medication and moving & handling. I have worked in residential homes for children / young adults with additional needs and now I am a Manager of a SEND provision.
My Qualifications
BTEC national diploma level 3 in Children’s care, learning and development.
My Availability
I have a full time job as a SEND Manager so it would be around my 9-5 office hours.
