My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Angela and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder in Emsworth. I am open all year round and accept Government funding and tax free childcare. I have been OFSTED registered since 2006 and in that timeline i have received one Good and a Series of Outstanding Ofsted inspection gradings and some amazing parental feedbacks!
In September I moved house to an incredible setting. It is a child friendly environment with a dedicated Annexe located behind secure gates with a large drive for the safe drop off and collection of children with a spacious front and rear garden for outside play and activities when the weather permits.
MY AIM - My aim is to provide high quality learning opportunities, and behavioural tips that enable children to achieve their best in literacy, numeracy, creative, physical and social skills so that they have the best preparation and life skills before starting school. I primarily focus my care around the child - eg their interests, safety, development and next steps to move them on in meaningful play, with lots of praise, praise and encouragement - there is nothing better than a parent or teacher saying to you "you'll get there!
I am fully trained in Paediatric First Aid and have a Level 3 NVQ in Childcare & Education. I am also a member of PACEY (Prof. Assoc. for Childcare and Early Years) which regulates high quality standards and I am registered to accept EYFE (Early Years Funded Entitlements).
MY VISION - A child’s early years is a time of discovery, development and learning so a well-resourced curriculum is key in my setting within a safe, caring and educational setting. I value the role that family members play in their child’s life and work alongside a family by providing monthly plans that meet your child's interests and characteristcs of learning plus updates of up and coming topics/activities, home learning ideas.
I help children to be involved in real life-enriching experiences, such as discovering the natural world; making individual choices and expressing themselves through purposeful fun play/activities in line with OFSTED's Early Years Foundation Stages and the Inspection Framework introduced in Sept 2019.
Understanding how a child learns is fundamental to supporting their development, and so exploration & play, creative & critical thinking and active learning is observed and tracked on their learning journey.
I provide exciting monthly themed activities and crafts related to the season and days/events e.g. Mother's days, Valentines, Easter, Chinese New Year, Olympics, etc. I also provide occasional homework packs to extend childrens learning based on their interests and stage of development.
I have a sharp focus on safeguarding and am registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) in line with data protection, and the Environmental Health Agency and am qualified in Paediatric First Aid, Food hygiene & Safety Level 2. I promote British Values and Child protection, Cultural Capital, plus many other areas (see below). I have attended all training/webinars that I have been offered by the local council, including risk assessments in relation to Covid-19. Others include an Ofsted webinar about the Inspection process and the focus on the curriculum eg importance of vocabulary interaction, high quality leadership/management, individual care, learning, tracking and Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and Welfare. As a consequence of this I feel confident to deal with individual situations, and to perform my role to a high standard.
To relax, I enjoy painting/mosaicing, planning childrens arts & crafts and parties, golf, yoga, playing pool, spending time by the harbour, feeding the ducks, a good pub quiz, my garden hot tub and most recently bird/wildlife photophaphy.
My Experience
As above.

Our daughter, Quinn, has been in Angela’s care since she was 8 months old. Choosing Angela to help raise and guide our daughter has been one of the best decisions we could have made.
Angela has helped us teach Quinn to walk, eat, communicate, take turns and every other milestone you can imagine, whilst we have both had to work full-time. Quinn is excited to see Angela and the other children in her care every day that she attends, which is the full 4 days a week! She can also be reluctant to leave which also shows how much she feels safe and adores Angela.
As parents, we love receiving photos of daily activities and to have a personalised end-of-day update. This is so much more than what you would receive from a nursery/preschool and allows us to feel like apart of Quinn’s day.
We can only thank Angela as she has played a role in Quinn becoming the kind, playful, independent, curious and fun-loving little girl that she is as Angela is all of these things and more.
Quinn is now 2.5 years old and will continue with Angela until she begins school. Expecting our second child in April, we cannot wait to have Angela in their life too.
We cannot recommend Angela more to parents looking for a childcare setting that offers a safe, positive and loving environment.

Thank you so much and I cannot wait to meet bambino no. 2!
Angela has been caring for our daughter since she was 10 months old. Choosing a setting was daunting as first time parents but we are so grateful to have found Angela! She provides a warm and homely environment which Jessica loves so much she asks to go back everyday. This is testament to how happy and safe she feels there. When she is there her development thrives, from clapping and waving to walking and talking Angela has been part of it all!
Angela also provides activities for every occasion, helping the children in her care gain awareness of the world around them and also means lots of special crafts and keep sakes to bring home. As well as this Angela’s setting allows for lots of time outside and trips to feed the ducks, which all the children love.
The photos and updates we receive daily mean that we are involved in Jessica’s day, and she loves to look at these and tell us what she was up to!
We’re delighted with Angela’s care and are really happy that we decided to choose a childminder over a nursery as we feel that our daughter is being raised in a happy, healthy and caring household surrounded by children of a similar age who she’s best friends with!
We couldn’t be happier with Angela, she has exceeded all of our expectations and we can’t recommend her enough.

Thank you so much! You are very welcome 🤩
My son has been attending Bo Peeps Childcare since July 2022 when he was 7 months old. I was initially nervous about placing him in a childcare setting as he was born with medical complications however after our initial meeting with Angela my mind was put at ease and he has absolutely thrived in her setting. Angela provides a wonderful home from home environment, going above and beyond by taking the children out daily to explore the natural surrounding areas, attending groups or coffee mornings, and doing lots of inside activities on rainy days.
Angela is a highly experienced and dedicated childminder with a very loving approach. My son completely adores her with his favourite phrase being ‘Angela look’ even when he is not at Angela’s!
I would highly recommend Bo Peeps Childcare to anyone and we are forever grateful that we found you.

Thank you so much Emma. You are very welcome 🤩✨⭐️🌟💫
Angela is an excellent childcare provider. She has taken care of our son since he was five months old (he is now three), and he has been happy and thriving throughout that time.
We feel that Angela's two main strengths are that she is able to keep our son active and engaged through group activities and a wider network of childcare providers, and she maintains a high level of communication that is very important to us. Angela maintains a regular timetable of activities for the children which are clearly engaging and stimulating. Our son especially loves attending the Toddler Sense classes and library visits. Angela keeps us updated with photos and videos which allow us to feel informed about our son's activities and development.
We are confident that when we leave our son with Angela each morning he will not only be cared for, but he will also be engaged in a range of structured activities, arts and crafts and free play. Our son is always smiling and happy as soon as he steps through the door, and his obvious seal of approval is what allows us to recommend Angela as a childminder without reservation.

Thank you so much for your lovely review!
I have enjoyed every moment caring for little T bone. He will always have a special place in my heart and I am certain he will thrive in nursery!
Caitlin has been attending Angela’s since she was 6 months old, so over a year now.
As a mother returning to work at the time, it was daunting and worrying to try to find the right care for my first child and I wasn’t sure how I was going to cope. We visited a few nursery’s and different childminders and then Angela. Within the first few minutes, we knew it was the right place for our daughter. Her natural care and the instantaneous bond she had with Caitlin didn’t go unnoticed and the homely set up she has created made me feel comfortable knowing my child would be safe and happy during the times I was at work.
Since that initial visit, I have not been disappointed. Angela is an outstanding childminder and genuinely cares for the well-being and development of the children. Caitlin is constantly taking part in different, fun activities and attending many different sensory classes to improve her learning and social skills. Since being with Angela, I have seen a great amount of difference in my daughter's confidence and she has become an absolute chatterbox and bookworm which I love!
I genuinely never worry during the time I am away from Caitlin. Angela consistency keeps us updated with photos throughout the day so I never feel like I’m missing out on my daughter. She doesn’t need to do this but the fact that she goes out of her way to do so shows so much about her character.
I don’t think (touch wood) I have yet to pick my daughter up without a smile on her face. Sometimes I even bribe Caitlin about going to see Angela in order for good behaviour. I know Caitlin sees Angela as extended family and welcomes her with a hug every morning which again, makes me feel so content which my choice.
I could continue to write more and more. Even though we have a good while yet before Caitlin starts school I am already dreading how Caitlin will feel about not seeing Angela every day.
Angela is fantastic and I would genuinely recommend her to anyone.
Regards
