About Me

Qualified primary teacher for the age range 5-11 years. BA Hons in Primary Education with QTS with over 13 years of experience across the age range.

I am able to provide an exciting & flexible learning environment (The Learning Space) for children aged 5-11 years in the centre of Penistone, South Yorkshire. My main focus is on developing and supporting learning in the core skills as well as offering workshops and classes that ignite new interests.
The tuition I offer is predominantly 1:1 and small group support in English and Maths within a stimulating environment, with an emphasis on practical, challenging but fun learning.
Whether the problem is gaps in your child’s foundations, making sense of what they are learning or lack of confidence in their schoolwork, I am here to support them as I believe that happy and confident learners are eager learners. My approach is to also work closely with both children and families, helping to take pressure away from parents by supporting children to take an active role in their own learning through building their interest and enthusiasm so they can make progress and reach their full potential. I am able to do this by offering:
An initial informal assessment.
Tailored lessons for 1:1 and small groups.
Feedback to parents after each lesson.
Ideas for supporting learning at home.
Offering a fun, practical yet calm, learning space.
