We are a family living in Little Venice looking for our next long-term nanny to start around September 2022, displaying ideally a combination of affection and authority, being patient, and proactive, a good listener and an enthusiastic player.
My Requirements
We are a family living in Little Venice looking for our next long-term nanny to start after the summer holidays, displaying ideally a combination of affection and authority, being patient, and proactive, a good listener and enthusiastic player. Starting date: End of August 2022:
Nanny duties include:
- Caring for our 3 kids aged 6, 8, and 11 (bilingual English / French)
- During school time: dropping them off to school (walking distance), picking them up from school, assisting with school homework (our eldest son does to and comes back from school independently but I would like our nanny to be home so that he's not left alone).
- Managing morning and evening duties such as getting them dressed and to take their bath,
- Assisting with education, and good manners,
- Proposing educational games (reading books, music times, arts and crafts…), activities (museums, zoo…), organising play dates,
- Supporting in the household management for duties relevant to the children by doing the kids laundry, cooking when needed, running errands when needed, cleaning the kitchen after use,
- Maintaining the house in proper order, in particular encouraging the children to tidy their bedrooms/playrooms of toys, games, clothes, etc and assist when necessary,
- Always putting safety first, and supporting children safety awareness
Working times during school period: ~25 hours/week
(typical hours below - will be adjusted in September based on kids' school timetable)
Monday 07.30-08.45 + 16.00-18.30
Tuesday 07.30-08.45 + 16.00-18.30
Wednesday 07.30-08.45 + 12.00-18.30
Thursday 07.30-08.45 + 15.30-18.30
Friday 07.30-08.45 + 14.30-18.30
I'm happy to increase the weekly hours by including additional tasks, to be discussed.
Working times during school holidays period: ~ 55 hours/week
This is effectively full time between 07.30am and 6.30pm.
The children's school follow a French curriculum calendar so that the school calendar is a succession of 7 weeks of school followed by 2 weeks of holidays (in general).
I'm happy to provide annualised salary so as to provide a fixed income throughout the year.
