My Summary
About Me
QUESTIONNAIRE IS COMPULSORY - MUST DO BEFORE I SIT FOR YOU. I will be a little hesitant to babysit for you if we do not meet or at least speak on a FaceTime/zoom/Google meets call as I would prefer to meet you and your child prior, unless under circumstances where a sit is very very last minute . A babysitter can be quite daunting to many children as I am a complete stranger to them so please be understanding of this. After the meet up, and these steps we can decide whether to go ahead with a sit, if you and most importantly your child is comfortable and happy.
1. Free meet up at a cafe, or a park. (Please see option 3 if this is not feesable)
2. Fill out questionnaire - please provide an email so I can send this to you.
3. Zoom/Google meet call if in person meet up is not possible. If I am babysitting for you very last minute you must fill out a questionnaire.
I understand this may be a lot of fit in as working parents,
- I will provide my services if we are all happy and we all bond well. Especially important as trust is the foundation of creating a relationship with you and your family, so my services can be worthwhile to you.
I am a caring individual who has a great passion for helping others. I am starting university in London this September. I’m an aspiring lawyer. and I will be going to university in London at SOAS. Will be based in Bermondsey on the 17th of September but am currently based in Kent. I’m excellent at helping in essay based subjects or any homework your children may be struggling with, as I also have 8 GCSES, with A’s in History, English lit and Language, RS and all three sciences! I am happy to offer services to tutor your children while I babysit. My passion for childcare stems from babysitting for family and friends, and a natural love for caring for others. My experience has been developed through these sits for family friends to taking up nannying as a job! I have done evening sits, ad-hoc, overnight and regular all day sits whilst parents are working where I’ve prepared meals and helped around the house, as well as helping children at bedtime. My hobbies consists of an avid love for reading, writing and art which I would be more than happy to share with your children. I love painting and is something I love to do in my free time. The most important part of creating an amazing experience with babysitting is developing that level of trust with both the parents and the children, which I dedicate myself to for every family I’ve helped. My job is to make your life easier!
My main aim whilst babysitting is to develop a trusting, caring and respectful bond with your child/children where there is complete comfort. I wish for them to feel free to grow and develop their skills in areas such as emotional intelligence and regulation, self esteem, impulse control, problem solving and much more. I believe that a holistic approach is absolutely key, every child is different and requires different things from their relationships with the adults in their lives and I wish to be able to cater to and respect that. Having empathy, understanding and respect is absolutely key when it comes to childcare. I believe in redirection and education, and setting clear boundaries which help aid in child development, as discipline should be aiding in a child’s growth and teaching them in a empathetic, understanding way whilst they are learning and finding their feet in this world! I wish for your children to feel safe to express themselves in every way without judgement, and develop their skills, bringing ease for you as parents, knowing your children are safe in my care. The childcare I offer is one where I encourage communication, confidence (I love some affirmations they’re so important) and most importantly fun!! I’m very chatty and bubbly, love to have a little sing with the kids I babysit for, arts and crafts is my absolute favourite. As I’m a bit a painter myself, I would love to teach your children about all the joys art brings. Some things I love doing with the children I babysit are reading, watching a studio ghibli film( the wind rises, ponyo and my neighbour totoro are my favourites.) Also teaching them origami, scavenger hunts, sensory activities and cooking or baking together. Thank you for taking your time to read through my profile. I look forward to meeting you and your family.
My Experience
I have a lot of experience working with children aged 1-4, and older children ages 9 to 13. I have worked with a family organising activities and taking them out on enriching experiences whilst I babysit like rock climbing and swimming. I have experience of overnight stays, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinners, school pick ups and just your regular at home babysitting. I organise enriching activities as part of my service is bringing along a activity each time I babysit if you are a ad-hoc client. I have a lot of work experience as I’ve been working since I was 13. From waitressing, being a barista to paper rounds. I have worked in Costa Coffee, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I currently babysit for local families, and I throughly enjoy my job, and all the laughter and fun that childcare brings.

My Availability
I offer a free meet up with each family I sit for, this is compulsory unless incredibly short notice as I like for your children to be able to adjust and get to know me first, as a new person can often be daunting to little ones. If this isn’t possible, I have a questionnaire that all parents must answer prior to my sits so I am well informed on you and your child’s unique needs, requirements and expectations in your household! My availability for London will be updated by the 8th of September. Current availability in Kent is limited.

Amie is an amazing childminder, very caring enthusiastic and mindful. My son utterly adored her, she always brought actives for him to do and was brilliant at arts and crafts (which he loves) She is dependable and reliable, I thoroughly recommend her.
Amelie is very conscientious and always researches, suggests and plans fun stuff for my 2 kids to do. They are very different ages, so it is hard to accommodate both their needs but Amelie does an excellent job. Amelie has been regular childcare (school holiday and weekends) for my children for 3 months now and has been doing an excellent job. The children love spending time with her and she is very bubbly, which helps them both with their confidence.
Amélie was an absolutely perfect babysitter for my 1 and 3 year old. She had a questionnaire to fill out and popped over to spend a little time with them and to have a chat with us prior to the date. My little ones had a great time with her and she even came with toys/activities for them which was lovely. Would not hesitate in having her look after my boys again.
